Dr. Dubey’s Scholarship broadly focuses on the issues of educational policies in the areas of teacher choice of profession and teacher quality, technology in education including Artificial Intelligence, immigration and education, and comparative and international education.
Dr. Dubey’s work explores the understanding and improvement of student learning, and how educational policy fills the gaps to provide a more efficient educational environment for students’ learning outcomes. The goal of his research is to include large-scale datasets, analyze the underlying constructs, and explore how various aspects of education such as teacher quality affects student achievement, teaching strategies, classroom learning environments, and use of educational technologies in students’ achievement. To evaluate educational policies and programs, Dr. Dubey employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Mediation & Moderation, and R programming, and addresses the issues that intersect in improving the learning experiences of diverse student population, immigrant/refugee students, and minority students. Dr. Dubey has received several external funding as a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator, which supports his research agenda in improving overall learning for all students. He has published and presented empirical research papers at several national research conferences such as AERA, UCIE, AEFP, SREE, etc. and is currently engaged in different research projects and grants.
