Praveen Dubey is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Experiences & Partnerships at Montana State University – Northern. His research interest lie at the intersection of education, policy, and practices.

RESEARCH WORK
His research is driven by a commitment to advancing educational equity, literacy, educator preparation, and community-engaged scholarship. He investigate evidence-based practices that improve literacy achievement across diverse populations, strengthen teacher preparation, and promote equitable access to high-quality education. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships with schools and communities, his research seeks to bridge theory and practice, generate meaningful educational innovations, and inform policy and practice. Ultimately, his scholarship aims to contribute to the development of inclusive educational systems that support the success of all learners while preparing educators to meet the needs of increasingly diverse classrooms.
GRANT WORK
Grant-funded research is central to his scholarly agenda and reflects his commitment to addressing critical challenges in educator preparation, teacher workforce development, and educational innovation. As Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on externally funded projects, he leads interdisciplinary research that advances evidence-based solutions to strengthen educator preparation, improve teacher quality, enhance reading literacy for underserved populations, and increase teacher retention in rural and high-need communities. Through collaborative research partnerships, he generates impactful scholarship and translates research into policies and practices that strengthen educational systems and improve outcomes for educators and learners.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Service and community engagement are central to Dr. Dubey’s academic mission, reinforcing his commitment to evidence-informed educator preparation and continuous improvement. He contributes to institutional governance through leadership and service on university committees and institutional boards, supporting data-informed decision-making and strategic initiatives. As Director of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships, he leverages data, collaboration, and sustained partnerships with school districts, administrators, mentor teachers, and community organizations to strengthen educator preparation, enhance clinical experiences, and improve outcomes for teacher candidates and the diverse communities they serve.
